We are offering this class on two evenings so you can choose the date that works best for you! Choose from Tuesday August 13 or Wednesday August 14. Please note that this is registration for Wednesday. Thank you!
When talking about wine, we generally call Europe “old world” while we call areas like the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa “new world.” This is because the different regions have different histories when it comes to wine. Many wine critics and professionals argue that old-world wines represent the pinnacle of winemaking. On the other hand, new world winemakers benefit from modern techniques and new technology.
In this class, you’ll be the judge! We’ll taste old world wines alongside their new world counterparts. For example, how does a French Crémant stack up against a premium sparkling wine from California made in the Champagne method? How does Italian Chianti stack up against domestic Sangiovese? There are so many interesting match-ups to explore.
Wine classes are $35pp and limited to 20 people. They include 6 wines, light snacks, and fun education.
