17 Trees, a line of wines produced by the DeBortoli family, is focused on sustainable farming practices- and planting trees! For every 6 bottles of wine sold, they plant a tree. To date, they have planted over 69,000 trees and you can track their progress via their website.
On Earth Day, Saturday April 22, visit Wine on Main from 1-4pm to taste their Chardonnay and Shiraz. The tasting is open to the public and free.
17 Trees also embraces other environmentally farming practices such as using lightweight bottles. Lightweight bottles mean less energy expended on transport and a lower carbon footprint. The bottles and labels are made from recycled materials.
The wines are vegan friendly as well.
